Warmest greetings!
The Good Samaritan United Methodist Church (TGSUMC) shares a common heritage with Christians in the global community we live in today – regardless of age, gender, nationality, and economic disposition. What is it that we believe in as Christians?
A belief in the triune God –Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Originally, we dwelt in Paradise, in covenant with God but sin separated us from God, resulting in chaos that is manifest in the evil that surrounds our lives today. We need to be redeemed from our situation.
We believe in the mystery of salvation in and through Jesus Christ.
God’s love caused him to send his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin and, by the grace given to us in Jesus Christ, there is hope for eternal life.
God’s redemptive love is experienced through the Holy Spirit.
The activity of the Holy Spirit is experienced both personally and as a community of believers. This community is the Church, which the Spirit has created to heal nations.
Through faith in Jesus Christ we are forgiven, reconciled to God and transformed in his image. As a people, this is reflected in the communal life of the Church in worship, mission, evangelism, service, and social witness.
As United Methodists, however, we put emphasis on grace as a pervading influence in our understanding of Christian faith and life. By grace is meant the undeserved, unmerited, and loving action of God in human life through the ever-present Holy Spirit.

Looking Forward |
 |
| September is Christian Education month with the theme
“Jesus, the Transformer”. Our Biblical Verse is Romans 12:2 “And be not
conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (KJV) |
